Many Shades of Voices

Many Shades of Voices is a collection of short stories written by members of The Writers Group, a literary organization out of Akron, Ohio. Richards, writing as Laurie Peel, has two stories published in the anthology, “March Madness” and “Descent of the Crow.”

In “March Madness” a woman succumbs to the pressure of spring cleaning.

“Descent of the Crow” is a story of historical fiction about the year there was no summer. In 1816, as a result of the eruption of a volcano in the Pacific, the weather pattern of North America was altered. No summer came. No crops matured. All withered on the vine. Fear abounded and people needed someone to blame.
